Bruce Maguire

President

Bruce Maguire, president of Freeman, oversees the agency’s operations as well as all client relations. He joined Freeman PR in 1980, became a partner in 1986 and CEO in 1995.  Under Bruce’s leadership, Freeman PR developed into a key marketing communications partner in numerous consumer products industries, with particular strength in youth markets, toys, food, electronics and licensing.  In addition to overseeing programs that have garnered numerous awards from PR Week, Bulldog Reporter and the PRSA, Bruce is also proud of the agency’s role in dozens of awards garnered by agency clients.  Bruce is a graduate of Utica College of Syracuse University and has been named an Outstanding Public Relations and Journalism Alumnus of his alma mater.

Amy Friedland

Executive Vice President

Amy oversees many of the Agency’s largest accounts and provides strategic counsel and crisis communications.  She joined Freeman in 1991 after several years at agencies, including Fleishman-Hillard.  With more than 25 years in the food, toy, licensing and consumer product categories, Amy is a product strategist that specializes in brand building, crisis communications, media relations, new product launches and special events, social and digital media, and marketing communications. She has directed programs and launches for a broad range of clients, including Bimbo Bakeries USA (Entenmann’s Donuts, Little Bites and Sara Lee Snacks), Eveready Battery’s “Change Your Clock, Change Your Battery Campaign,” Fisher-Price, Hasbro, Jeep Consumer Products, PLAYMOBIL, Playskool’s Mr. Potato Head “going smoke-free,” Mattel’s Matchbox brand turning 50, MCI “Friends and Family,” My First Sony launch, Sony Pictures Consumer Products, totes>>ISOTONER, Warner Bros. Consumer Products’ “Space Jam” launch, Warner Bros. Studio stores, Zing and Zone Foods.

Ellie Bagli

Senior Vice President

Ellie joined Freeman PR in 1988, and rose through the ranks to become SVP in 2005.  With more than 25 years in the toy, licensing and consumer products business, she directed some of the most effective public relations campaigns in the industry, helping to launch the original Tickle Me Elmo and then recreating and surpassing that excitement with hugely successful, award-winning tenth anniversary campaign.  She represented the International Licensing Industry Merchandisers Association and directed the publicity campaign for the Licensing International Expo for 15 years, helping to build the trade show into an international platform for the global licensing industry.  She has also directed programs for Architect Housewares, Asmodee, Cloud b, Mattel’s Matchbox brand, Petmate, Rubbermaid Tools, ShedRain Umbrellas, totes>>ISOTONER and more.
